This C&R course is an advanced course. * PLEASE NOTE- YOU MUST HAVE TAKEN THE PHYSICAL INTERVENTION COURSE BEFORE PROGRESSING TO THIS ONE* Control and Restraint is a 'Final and Last Resort' when all other options have failed and the risk is too great. The techniques and skills delivered on this course will cover the theoretical and physical applications of the use of both controls and restraints that can be applied from low level to medium to high risk situations. During the training sessions, every learner will be taught how to control and restrict a persons movement. Learners will also be shown the best techniques to then move and guide that person safely to either a wall or, in final resort, go to ground in order to minimise the risks and threats to themselves and those around them.
